Kot Diji Fort (Archaeological site) Visit - Jan 2018
Kot Diji, an Archaeological site situated near an ancient flood channel of the Indus River in Pakistan, 25 kilometers south of the city of Khairpur in Sindh province. The site, which is adjacent to the modern town of Kot Diji, consists of a stone rubble wall, dating to about 3000 BCE, all of which were first excavated in the 1950s.
We had stayed in Lucky Ghulam Ali village near Sukkar and left for Kot Diji in morning after traditional village breakfast. It was a wonderful travel specially when we were passing through the dates farms near Khair pur. We took N5 and reached Rani Kot from where we took left and went directly to Kot Diji. This was a longer route and later we identified that a short path exists, if we turn to National Highway from N5 near Tehri, it will also take us directly to Kot Diji through Khair Pur.

Kot diji was really beautiful. It was impressive to see how it was designed from security standpoint at that time.
